Historical romance legend and New York Times bestselling author Madeline Hunter continues her Duke's Heiress series filled with sensuality and wit, as a recently-deceased Duke's will reveals that he has mysteriously bequeathed his vast fortune to three seemingly unrelated and unknown women. In this second installment, finds a shopkeeper finalizing her dream of opening her own millinery shop only to clash with her business partner, the nephew of said Duke. Their battle of wits masks sizzling attraction and a proposed marriage of convenience might lead so something much deeper. In this sparkling series from New York Times bestselling author Madeline Hunter, a mysterious bequest brings a whole new life--and brand-new love--to three unsuspecting women... In one life-changing windfall, Rosamund Jameson goes from struggling shopkeeper to heiress--and co-owner of a new business. Not only will her sudden fortune allow her to move her millinery shop to fashionable London, but Rosamund will be able to provide her younger sister with a proper entry into society. The only hitch for resourceful Rosamund is her arrogant, infuriatingly handsome business partner... Kevin Radnor is shocked that his late uncle, the Duke of Hollinburgh, bequeathed half his company to a total stranger--worse, a beguiling beauty who can only hinder his enterprise. But Rosamund insists on an active, equal partnership, so Kevin embarks on a plan: a seduction that will lead to a marriage of convenience, giving Rosamund the social status she needs, and guaranteeing him the silent partner he desires. Yet as this charismatic gentleman sets his flirtation in motion, he begins to wonder who is seducing whom--and if he can learn to share himself body and mind, without losing his heart...

After 6 months of reading break (kind of), back to my favourite hobby...
At first, i kinda disliked this book. Too boring at the beginning but then it became better. And I enjoyed it till the end.

My #netgalley arc complete. Book 2 where a duke left legacies to 3 women unknown to the family. Kevin & Rosamund both own half a business venture & must work out how to operate together. Good story of the 2 though the chemistry wasn‘t mind blowing for me. I wanted a little tension, still a decent HR. Theses a side story of how the Duke died that I‘m very curious about since book 1. That means I‘ll pick up book 3 when it comes out! #bookspinbingo

Thank you to #NetGalley and Kensington books for an #ARC in exchange for an honest review. This #romance combines some fun tropes together for an engaging read. There's a little enemies to lovers combined with opposites attract with a dash of Pygmalion thrown in. On top of that you have a heroine and hero who have some serious work to do to really understand each other, and who make the time and effort to do so. It all combines together nicely.
