Detective stories aren‘t my go-to source for entertainment, so I may not be the best judge, but I liked this one. It took me a bit to understand ‘the case‘, probably more to my discredit than Kaufman‘s, but that‘s not exactly the star of the book. The star is Chandler, the synthetic implant in Detective Lu‘s head, who, in alternating chapters, narrates the story from ‘his‘ POV. There‘s some good world building here and social commentary as well.
