This is very reminiscent of Goosebumps.
I loved the characters! They were witty and thier banter was a joy to read. The spooky parts def felt "very young" to me, but it is geared for 8 year olds after all. Still a fun little book and nice character set up for a series. Would read book two!

In the mood for something short and spooky. Spotted this at Barnes and Noble today and picked it up on a whim. 🕷️
I'm assuming this is Pike's version of Goosebumps? As a 90s kid who loved all things spooky I'm surprised this is the first I've heard of Spooksville.
I'm excited 😆

Cheshirecat913 I was all about some Christopher Pike books back then and I haven't heard of this either. Weird. Hope it is good. 4y
brittanyreads For what it was (an 8-12yo spooky book) I thought it was well done! @Cheshirecat913 The writing made.me want to seek out more ( older age) Pike! 4y
