pickA book of poems discussing both the hardships the author has faced as a black woman as well as (some of the hardships) black women as a group have had to endure. So many trigger warnings. So gut wrenching. A quick, yet powerful read
pickI just finished this wonderful collection of poetry by Jasmine Mans. In Black Girl, Call Home she touches on feminist issues, and what it means to be a queer Black Woman. I found each poem to be piercing, as good poetry should be. I can only imagine how amazing they would sound if performed.
pickthis is a powerful collection. some poems hit my heart, some hit old wounds i thought had healed, some added questions to my already long questions about the meaning of life while others missed the mark completely and left me confused. this is definitely a collection i will return to over the years.
