⭐️⭐️⭐️ I found this book to be uneven. There were some really interesting and useful insights about ways to extend one‘s mind by tweaking the environment, moving the body, interacting with others, etc., but then some passages went too deep into the academic weeds and were really tough to slog through. At one point I put it down and thought I might bail, but I pressed on for the sake of my #BookSpinBingo card. Glad I did, but it took some doing.

Struggling with this one. Interesting points overall, but just taking too long to make/overdoing them. A couple of pages saying gesturing while speaking helps with comprehension would have been great. Not sure we need a whole chapter.

Pickpick

Since the pandemic started, I‘ve been doing Yoga With Adrienne videos almost every day. She sometimes says, Don‘t decide where it ends, implying the pose is not confined to the body. Like that, Annie Murphy Paul‘s book shows readers that the mind isn‘t just our in brain, but in our body, surroundings, and relationships. I‘m familiar with active learning, but I learned many other practical tips that can be used by both teachers and students.

PurpleyPumpkin I‘ve been doing YWA practices just about everyday since the pandemic began too! What an amazing community. It‘s made such a difference for both my mind and body. Stacking this book to help me continue my journey!👍🏽 4y
