5 posts | 1 read
The story begins from the year 1838, during the time a young servant works and lives in a huge Hall set on the slope of Grassmoor Mountain, overlooking Crummock Water in England.Having lost his mother at a very young age and hearing from the other servants that she has killed herself, he suffers from a ceaseless nightmare which prevents his mind from resting; the scene of his mother falling out of the window.Despite all the mental tortures he endures, he is deeply in love with his master's youngest daughter. But can he express his feelings for her, even though he is just a servant? Does she love him?In a series of events, at times joyous and often bitter, the young servant gradually discovers the mysteries of his life, but the truth does not appease his soul…He is soon sent to a lunatic asylum.Facing the true face of life, the true face of God is also slowly revealed to him…The God who has always been a mystery to our young hero.As time passes, his feet find the strength to step beyond England and his soul finds the courage to pass beyond the boundaries of false conviction and superstition.

The truth is that within any human's heart…whether man or woman… there is a desire to show affection to multiple spouses and to each of them in a different level.

“Do you know what I learnt from the time I almost burnt my mother's house?“ She began anointing me with a kind of oil which had a strange floral fragrance like orchid, “I learnt that when a piece of wood is burnt, you can use its ashes to wash the dirt away…“ She continued, “I believe that a wounded man is like a burnt piece of wood…When you are wounded, you gain the ability to use your experiences against the ugliness around you…“

It was always soothing for me to stare at graves...to be comforted by the fact that after so much torment, there will be an eternal place for everyone, whether rich or poor to rest... But it always made me question: why should we endure so much misery, while the consequence of our lives and struggling, whether orthodox or mischievous shall be death and all our achievements shall be buried with us or be inherited to another mortal being?
