Mehso-so

This is book 32(!) in the Argeneau series. I do love this series, but they are starting to all run together. Our main couple are ok, and there is a decent mystery but many things I guessed way ahead of time. So just ok, but not bad so I haven‘t given up on the series yet. 3.5⭐️ +15 +1 points for #teamhendrix #Scarathlon2021 #20in4 #Halloween

Pickpick

Mac is a hematologist and someone seems out to kill him, but he has no idea why. CJ is in this small town investigating a complaint against a police officer when she‘s drawn into protecting Mac.

This book is more slow burn than others in the series and Mac is seriously deficient in the romance department as a “logical scientist.” And CJ is focused on protecting her heart and getting her job done.

Lauren_reading There‘s more of a focus on the danger and investigation in the first half of the book. There‘s the humor and family love that I adore in this series and the steam level rises later in the book. 4y
