We do not care that it was still August when we put up our Halloween decorations! It‘s never too soon to celebrate all things spooky! No offense, Fall, but we‘re ready for things that go bump in the night!! 🎃👻👺🧛🏻♀️🧟♀️

It seems a little bit wrong to describe a mystery in which children are murdered as "fun," however, I did find this story fun. I figured out 2/3 of the solution before the reveal, which is unusual for me, and I found the descriptions of the party games intriguing (although also a great way to spread illness (bobbing for apples) and a big fire risk (snap-dragon, which I kind of want to do anyway)). I also like the use of the word "sartorial."
@WildAlaskaBibliophile and I will be hosting a pumpkin craving contest this year! We are still working out the details, but it is never too early to start planning. We will likely have a couple different categories and winners. All are welcome; cute and creepy.

If anyone is organizing a bigger October-themed event, feel free to include this as a way to earn points 😜

We picked our first pumpkin from the garden today. It got me thinking, are there any Halloween exchanges started up yet?
Doing a quick cleanse of my pallet before we start September reads, but no better way to start the Ber months than with some cute Halloween kid stories. My favorite here is zombies don‘t eat veggies. Hispanic parents trying to convince their kid that he needs to eat brains when all the kid wants to do is eat veggies, zombie style… Lol. Super cute one about accepting who you are while accepting others for who they are.
If Lydia Deetz owned a hotel it would be this...if you're ever in Roxbury, NY...5 stars/no notes
