Brave Men
Brave Men | Ernie Pyle
2 posts | 1 read | 1 to read
Ernie Pyle was a Pulitzer Prize-winning American journalist. This is his first hand account of life on the European front-line during World War II. Written with touching sympathy and humanism, Brave Men offers a poignant description of the everyday experiences of American foot soldiers; their courage, humanism and unshakeable camaraderie. A must-read war memoir.

Brave Men | Ernie Pyle

I‘ve always admired Ernie Pyle, a WWII war correspondent and journalist. He had such a gift for telling soldiers‘ stories and the reality of war. This exhibit at the Indiana State Museum included his typewriter, Uniform, army bag, and some incredible photos of him. I just loved learning more about him. If you haven‘t read Brave Men, I‘d highly recommend it.

Yesterday I passed this VFW post named in honor of the incredible war journalist Ernie Pyle. His book, Brave Men, is just excellent. He was killed in action while serving as a war correspondent in WWII.
