so-soI love the topic. Freydis was the daughter of Erik the Red and led her own expedition to Vinland. The author does a great job of evoking the time period and the household politics of day to day life. She is an abused wife who is routinely frustrated in her search for fulfillment. It is a long slog through pain to get to any relief
