Enjoyed this genealogical memoir quite a bit. I‘m endlessly fascinated by stories of people digging into their family history so this was right up my street. Illustrates how easily the truth can be lost and fiction becomes the accepted family lore.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This totally makes me want to research my family! These four infamously single, successful sisters were Klam‘s grandma‘s cousins. She set out on a journey to glean more about the Morris Sisters - why they never married nor had children; how their wealth came to fruition. Plenty of family lore existed, but how much was true? She uncovered some surprising missing details. Absolutely fascinating read. And I loved Klam‘s dry wit!
🎧👟 It‘s hot AF, y‘all. I should‘ve walked earlier. On the positive, this is an interesting listen so far!

I blew through this audio/ it‘s very short and very engaging. Journalist Julie Klam is endearing & I enjoyed her narration. Like almost every Jewish family I know, everyone has a story to tell and EVERY family has a relative who defies convention and is a larger than life presence. Julie had 4 cousins, spinster sisters who were awed & admired throughout the decades. Curious to learn what was fact & what was fiction she undergoes a 3 yr quest.👇🏼
Forgot I bought this in middle of the night a few nights ago…excited to have a listen ♥️😁Recommended by @Megabooks 🙌🏻My #PersonalAudioGuru #Audible
When @Megabooks says SO GOOD, I LISTEN!!! So EXCITED for this!! Thanks for putting it on my #ReadersRadar, Meg 🧡😘
The four Morris sisters are legends in Julie‘s family. The immigrated from Romania around 1900 and three lived into their 90s. So much has been passed down about them: their mom died giving birth to the youngest, one had an affair with JP Morgan, another met with FDR during the war. But what is true? Julie sets out on a journey that takes her to Romania, St. Louis, and the Hamptons to find out the real story of her fascinating relatives!
I love Julie Klams books I preordered this as soon as I heard about it.It‘s getting wonderful review in the New York Tines today.📚💕
