Is there any injustice that Donald Trump does not decide to support? It's infuriating how, with absolutely no knowledge of the Gallagher case, he felt the need to get involved. And for the most selfish of reasons too. Every time I think I can't possibly hate that piece of shit more than I already do, he finds a way. 😡😡😡😡😡

...because of an aspect of criminal law known as proximate cause. Under the law, someone couldn't fatally wound another person but then not be responsible if the victim died of something else. A man who shot someone in the chest during an argument, for example, still committed murder even if the victim staggered into the street and got hit by a car, because the shooting was the proximate cause of death.

“He didn‘t believe in heaven or hell…If the world was going to be a better place, it wouldn‘t be because of some divine being, but because of the daily effort of individuals. In real ways, the future of humanity was built by the small actions of millions of everyday folks, and it could be torn down the same way.”

EmMcKee To be clear, this quote is NOT from Eddie Gallagher, or based on his beliefs, it refers instead to a member of his platoon in a position of acting on Gallagher‘s actions. 3y
