pickThe Singing Trees was a love story. The characters were mostly likable. Definitely, most young artists don‘t find the successful as Annalise was. The twists and turns of the novel were quite unfortunate. I did shed some tears while reading.
pickA lovely coming of age book set during the Vietnam War era. The main character has been served some tough knocks at a tender age. She'd determined and driven and will see her dreams come true no matter the cost. She works hard to make something of herself. Not all her life is smooth sailing and she got more tough knocks coming her way. At times sad and at times triumphant this was a sweet love story.
pickI loved this book and it‘s perfect ending, though there were times I wanted to smack Analiese up the side of her head. You‘ll love the characters (well, maybe not all 😂). Analiese finds what is most important in life while she is searching for her voice in her art.
pickIt took me a little bit to get into this one, but I‘m glad I stuck it out. Emma‘s disassociation kept me scratching my head, it was never fully explained-what was explained isn‘t the kind of trauma that usually causes that but oh well. The beginning storyline was akin to the movie, Mystic Pizza…rich boy meets beautiful girl from the “other side” of town. The end came suddenly. I knew the big secret, but I won‘t ruin it for you! Book #1 in 2022
