As someone who's been part of a community garden for years I really enjoyed this book. My son really wanted to flip through the book even though he can't read yet 😆

I loved this, start to finish. A community garden is such a fun place to highlight relationships and drama! The best part of the story for me is the amount of garden talk — veggies, plants, soil type, methods, garden implements, everything. Anybody can enjoy this one but I believe gardening enthusiasts will really gobble it up.
Do you guys ever feel like an author peeked into your head and heart to create a story?? 🙋🏻♀️
This narrative includes garden-nerdy talk of things like soil pH, heirloom varieties, brassicas, spring planting, compost, and gophers that eat your veggies before you can harvest them. My food-gardening-obsessed self is loving the relationships and conflicts that are formed over gardening. I feel SEEN and UNDERSTOOD 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
“A map of Vista Mar Community Garden” — This is the cutest map in my newest book!! Instead of a city or neighborhood, it‘s a map of a garden, detailing where different characters‘ plots are. #bookmap
I‘m so excited to read this book. I‘ve seen reviews that say this is a story for people who love gardening, and that‘s 100% me!!!
