The wildly popular books by K.A. Applegate are back! The Animorphs return in this update of the classic series.It was bad when Jake found out his brother was one of them. A Human-Controller. A slave. But that was nothing compared to this. When the Animorphs decide to visit the Yeerks' new base, it seems simple. But then they get caught and Jake falls -- just for a moment -- into the Yeerk pool. Now they're out, and his friends can't see it. To them he's just like normal. But Jake is screaming for help. His worst fear has finally come true. He's become the enemy.

Each time I finish an Animorphs book - I marvel at how the stakes have once again risen - AND BOY DID THINGS ESCALATE in this one - with Jake falling into a yeerk pool and getting taken over by a high ranking yeerk. With literally everything on the line - from his own autonomy to his friends safety and the future of all humans… will his friends be able to outsmart the yeerk inside their dear friend and group leader?

The Animorphs infiltrate the Yeerks newest front, a hospital, in order to stop the aliens from infesting a potential presidential candidate while he‘s in for surgery. Things go wrong and Jake falls headfirst into a small Yeerk pool. He comes out with one of the slugs in his head. He‘s become a Controller.
Another awesome edition to the series! ❤️

I still can‘t believe how lucky I was. I never got to read them all when I was younger, so I‘m working my way through them now. 😅❤️ 3y
