For a book about gifting women the power of wings, it really needs a sequel. This book focuses on the trauma two women experience when they are found with wings. But what happens after their grand escape? So much could be told about their adventures with their new gifts….left me confused in the madness of the villain and wanting more!

“It is her first day with wings. It is also her first day as a prisoner”

This book ripped my heart out, it‘s one of the best books I‘ve read this year and is going in my all time favourites. Beautifully written and emotional it combines historical fiction with magical realism and a little bit of feminism
