When I began this book I thought it would be more of a thriller, and while there is a bit of that, it really felt like more of an study of marriage and motherhood and the sacrifices made. It is a lovely story and you are quickly ensconced in the struggles of June as she tries to be the mother she wants to be, Meanwhile Ben is mostly absent as he tries to be what he thinks a good father is - a good provider. I enjoyed it and gave it 3.75/5.
