All three women uproot themselves and move to Rushbrook, deep in the heart of Somerset, to take over The Swan and restore it to its former glory. Cherry is at the helm, Maggie is in charge of the kitchen, and Rose tends the picturesque garden that leads down to the river. Before long, the locals are delighted to find the beating heart of the village is back, bringing all kinds of surprises through the door. Could Cherry's impulse purchase change all their lives - and bring everyone the happiness they're searching for? On impulse Cherry buys the pub in the town she grew up, and she asks her daughter and granddaughter to help her out.

This book focuses more on female friendships and female helping each other than romantic love, and I loved that.

A book about helping each other and paying it forward.

A perfect summer read even if it had me in tears sometimes

Made a quick run to B&N for Jane Harper‘s newest. And walked out with two more. It‘s a requirement, right?

My daughter and her cat MyCat wanted to be in the pic. #cuties

A very enjoyable, gentle story about three generations of women who buy a pub in the village where they grew up. Some well drawn, engaging characters with a captivating storyline set in a village where I‘d love to live. A feel-good and heartwarming read.
