Another historical #romantsy loved the torn between two countries Sebastian and the charmingly dyslexic Milly. Post war trauma and some 🔥🔥🔥 . CloudLibrary is such a great source of ebooks 💚

I enjoyed this one more than the first, for plot reasons, but The Captive had a better relationship. I was very, very disappointed when at one point, Milly had a lot of complex emotions and leaves Sebastian. Instead of having those rationed out, they made lots of sense if you thought about them, they were mostly glossed over and back to the action. Good book, but poor feminist form on display.
