"Oh, please, dear children, stop your cruel play! Though it may be fun for you, it means death to us!"

This story teaches a great lesson about empathy. While something may be fun and enjoyable for you, it may cause others pain or fear. I think this is a great story for children of all ages to have access to.

But the poor frogs in the pond were trembling with fear.

It stuck out to me when the frogs try to address the boys but the boys continue to skip rocks.

Although this story is short and sweet about how a group of boys do not understand that their skipping rocks is harmful and dangerous for the frogs. This story addresses the need for empathy. I think their are other books out their that drive home the point of empathy better for children.
