Uncharted Waters: Getaway Collection | Sally Hepworth
8 posts | 9 read | 1 to read
When Ella boards a sumptuous charter off the coast of Australia, she feels…dread. Her husband, Mac, the social butterfly who makes these wellness retreats so much easier to navigate, is stuck at work, leaving her exposed to the other passengers. Luckily, she forms an instant bond with the charismatic Chloe, a newly single woman salving a broken heart. But as the friendship grows, Ella discovers they share more than the need for an escape, and their devastating connection has the power to forever alter their lives.

Nice little short story.
If it could be like 2 pages longer to slow down the ending a bit, it would be perfect.

As part of a 2023 reading challenge, I was to read a book that contains less than 200 pages. This book fit the bill. It was a very good story that kept me reading due to curiosity. I had to see what happened at the end, after the secret was revealed. I wasn‘t thrilled with the end, but all and all it was a good, quick read.

These short stories can be hit or miss — this one is definitely a great catch! 😉

This is a short story that is part of a series of short stories (Getaway series #3) that are free on Amazon Prime. I haven‘t loved them all, but this one was just great! If you are looking for a very quick but fun read check this one out!

I enjoyed this story very much. A woman goes on vacation without her husband, and discovers new things about herself and her relationship.

Uncharted Waters is part of the Getaway collection from Amazon, a set of 6 short stories.

So, I‘ve really liked all of Sally Hepworth‘s novels, but this one wasn‘t as good. It wasn‘t really a thriller for one, so it didn‘t work for me.
