⭐⭐⭐⭐ After 4 months of waiting for this book from the library, I finally got to see what all the hype was about. As I was reading about her next door neighbor, I exclaimed "I don't trust this guy." Great read, I've even recommended to my book club! #14bookchallenge #Book11of14

I hate that this book wasn't good for me. Everything fell flat. I lacked investment in the story and the characters. #DNF #BuzzCoffee

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easily the best book I have read this year. The twist caught me so off guard... but I feel like it shouldn't have. Loved it. I am left wanting to know more and more about Alicia. I really didn't want to put it down. Not for one second. #14BookChallenge #Book8of14

⭐⭐⭐⭐ One time I read a book in one day and barely noticed. This is the first Stephen King book I have ever read and I really loved his writing. The plot was very original and an interesting read. I can't wait to read more from him. #14BookChallenge #book7of14

⭐⭐⭐The writing was straightforward and an easy/funny read. I felt validated at many times throughout the book. The only thing that was challenging was the timeline of everyone's stories. For example, at one point Mary was lusting over Brian then suddenly 5 chapters later, it had been 2 years later and she was engaged. I loved Isabella and really related to her story. Lauren always had me laughing. #14bookchallenge #book6of14 #catsoflitsy

Megabooks I‘ve actually read this a couple of times. It‘s entertaining. A mild pick for me. 5mo

⭐⭐ This book is considered a psychological thriller. I guess, I'm not seeing it. Manipulation? Yes. But a psychological THRILLER? Around page 150/339 I decided I was not interested in the book. But I had invested in it and wanted to know how it turned out. None of the characters were likeable. Page 300ish-337ish were amazing. That ending made reading the book worth it. #14BookChallenge #Book5of14

This book was just okay for me. I started getting really frustrated with her situation and I was just ready for it to be resolved. I did really like the ending. After reading this and "In a Dark, Dark Wood" it's obvious that Ruth Ware followed a similar story arc. I wouldn't recommend to a friend or family member, but it wasn't a terrible read. Once the story picked up, I finished it in 3 days. But the first 150 pages really dragged.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ There was absolutely nothing boring about this book. Such a page turner. It has been a long time since reading made me late to work and also cost me a couple hours of sleep. This is a MUST READ. The reviews on the book all say how scary the book is, but fear was not anything I felt. Definitely suspence. I will be reading more of her books. And also recommending to friends. #14bookchallenge #book3of14 #catsoflitsy

Love love LOVE this book. It's a shame that it was read by a bunch of 8th graders who didnt care about it and will probably never read it again. Okay, that's possibly just my school. But it was such a page turner. The first 3 chapters were rough, but I was able to fly through it after that. Highly recommend!!
What should my next book be??

I'm really torn because I loved so many parts of this book. But some just dragged on. Great and fun character development. I hated and loved Jack. The friendship between Laurie and Sarah is... mostly goals. Easy and fun read. Overall, I would recommend. I want to say so much more but I'm feeling a lot of emotions about the whole book. Cried my heart out at the end. #14BookChallenge #catsoflitsy

I've really been trying to read a lot more lately. I saw a post about this book, then I got to thinking about all of those books I read in high school but didn't appreciate. So I went to this little bookstore and picked up a few books. I'm really excited to read them all for real this time!!

What a great second book and finish to the series. I'm not sure which book was better. The ending was so sweet and I found myself rereading the chapter. Probably a 4/5 for me!

This has been my absolute favorite in the series so far. I LOVE how them returning to Ember is a scary and unfamiliar experience. I loved watching Doon and Lina's relationship develop. I think the things that was most exciting is what the diamond actually was. There are so many things in this world that we all take for granted. And it's fun to read about people who are experiencing these things for the first time! #catsoflitsy

I don't think Katie liked "The City of Ember: The People of Sparks" as much as I did. Though she never left my side. I wonder what her breaking point was. Maybe because they had chickens in that city but she couldn't eat them. I would be mad too. #catsoflitsy #greatbook #easyread #fun
