This was a gripping book, for sure. I‘m not a huge fan of love triangles. There‘s a lot we don‘t know as the main character has lost her memory, and as she gets in deep with different people we are kind of left not knowing who we can trust. 🤷🏼‍♀️ thank you NetGalley for the digital ARC.

Pickpick

I enjoyed to observe how Norah evolved and stepped up to make her own decisions.
In this book the love drama got a bit exhausting but I still love the dynamics between Mikael and Norah.
The mysterious attacker from the first book was barely present in this book. Overall I had the impression that the book suffered a bit from the “middle book of the trilogy syndrome“.
Still I enjoyed the story and the writing. Looking forward to the final book.

Usually I'm not a fan of love triangle but in this story it was nicely executed.
I enjoyed the writing very much. The story was full of adventure, drama and tension.
Though there was insta-attraction and insta-love between, it was nicely written and it felt like a slow burn romance.
There is still the mystery around the memory loss to be solved and I'm curious about the next book.

Thanks to #NetGalley for gifting me this arc for an honest review, and what a gift it was! Don‘t walk, RUN to your nearest bookstore and buy this book! For fans of Romantasy, enemies to lovers, amnesia tropes, sloooow burns (like long, aching, tense romance), and tricky love triangles (tastefully done). This one had me hooked! Synopsis below:

BooksNBowls For 3 years Princess Norah, future Queen of Mercia was missing, but now she‘s been found!! There‘s only one problem… her memories are gone and the fate of her kingdom rests on her shoulders. A kingdom she doesn‘t even remember. With war looming and a dangerous enemy waiting in the Shadows (literally), Norah must navigate this unknown world and adapt to her surroundings in order to survive and save her people from a terrible Fate. 1y
