Picked up the tagged book at Little Free Library #188049 before an appointment for my son. It is a much more interesting read than the book I brought with me today. I enjoy learning more than being entertained and most anything about Japan is fascinating to me. 🇯🇵🏯🗾

Enjoyed, heavy on history from another perspective of Japanese American finding his way to a job as military civilian intelligence. Fun listening while cruising around the island and looking at the now while listening to the then.

15/150 While I was expecting this to be more of a spy thriller, a race against time to avert the bombing of Pearl Harbor, it is instead a look at the spy organizations of both the US and Japan leading up to December 7th, 1941. The intelligence community was caught flat-footed by the attack, and spent the years afterward looking to pin blame. Much like the 9/11 attack in New York, the pieces were there if only the various parties, Navy ⬇️

RamsFan1963 intelligence and the FBI, and put the pieces together in time to avert the disaster. 3.75/5 9mo
