Enjoyed, heavy on history from another perspective of Japanese American finding his way to a job as military civilian intelligence. Fun listening while cruising around the island and looking at the now while listening to the then.

15/150 While I was expecting this to be more of a spy thriller, a race against time to avert the bombing of Pearl Harbor, it is instead a look at the spy organizations of both the US and Japan leading up to December 7th, 1941. The intelligence community was caught flat-footed by the attack, and spent the years afterward looking to pin blame. Much like the 9/11 attack in New York, the pieces were there if only the various parties, Navy ⬇️
