I love a used book sale at a library. 📚 I found a bonus book for my friend @dabbe
Sometimes emails do make me smile 😊
My favorite book in this stack is No Ocean Too Wide.
I‘m on track with my reading of the tagged book for the week. 45 more minutes before Leo will be with his forever family. Regi has decided that puppies are tiring. 🐾
Well, I mean I agree…don‘t do things halfway!
I had credits on Amazon so this great deal was FREE!
for @dabbe ~ a picture of Regi
Circle 31 Book Club will be reading The Hidden Peace in July but I wanted to get started today.🕊️
Pre-ordered my copy this morning from Baker Book House A story including a Michigan lighthouse …. I‘m in!
Look what I earned while visiting Little Free Libraries in Illinois and after choosing the tagged book.
Little Free Library 9020 where I picked up a copy of the tagged book.
Little Free Library 27571 in St Charles Illinois where I picked up the tagged book.
While on vacation I visited Booklady‘s Book Attic in Bartlett, Illinois where I picked up this much loved copy. 💚
Do you have room on your kindle for a deal? 🩰
The French Winemaker‘s Daughter was a fresh approach to historical fiction during WWII. Being able to imagine what legacies were stolen from the Jews in addition to the loss of human life was haunting.
I can‘t believe I‘ve never read this book before…
“and the unfortunate Matthew was left to do that which was harder for him than bearding a lion in its den-walk up to a girl-a strange girl-an orphan girl-and demand of her why she wasn‘t a boy.” 🦁👧👦🤣
I‘ve joined #whatthedickens_bookclub via Facebook for their June read of the tagged book. Reading outside is peaceful for me and allows the foster (soon to be ours) dog time to run. As you can see, he likes to be close to me. 🐾
Circle 31 announced July‘s book last night. I am excited to be able to read it with this new community. I had preordered it before the March release but had not read it yet. Now, I have a goal and that is helpful. 👑
#WhatsNewWednesday Our family rescued Regi last week when his owner surrendered him. We are fostering him with the first option to adopt. Trust me ~ we will be adopting him. Regi will be 5 in October. He is smart and FULL of energy. I‘m learning from Jennie Allen in the tagged book to feel my feelings and having Regi in my life has brought pure joy and happiness to my days with a bit of longing added in when I have to go to work and leave him.
The British Booksellers is a story of friendship and misunderstanding set around World War I & II. I learned many details about how the war affected England that were fascinating. The introduction of the Land Girls was my favorite. I most enjoyed watching the early friendship develop between Amos and Charlotte. Each of the primary characters showed kindness and compassion towards others but struggled with giving themselves the same understanding.
An annual adventure with a high school friend ~ meeting between homes in Michigan & Indiana. Yesterday was opening day for the 100+ year old carousel. The middle horse in the top photo was carved by the original creator‘s son and found in Michigan. My 6 hour round trip drive 😳 was made bearable by listening to the tagged book.
NetGalley introduced me to Christine Wells with the tagged book. I enjoyed it and want to read more by her. ⏳ I need more time to read… #SundayFunday @BookmarkTavern
#LitsyLove leaving my home 🏠 tomorrow for @UwannaPublishme & @LiseWorks 🐾 War Paws mail for @Sleepswithbooks
Excited to be part of Carrie‘s launch team for A Token of Love!
Reading about how the German‘s treated the Jews and how people who were afraid of the Germans failed to stand up is always hard. Being able to witness one kind person reaching out with love is reassuring. 💗
With today‘s book mail, I now have all 3 books in The Bleecker Street Inquiry Agency series. 📚
Jennie‘s honesty is a primary reason this book is easy to read and her lessons are soothing to hear & carry out. 🌼
Today‘s book mail ~ I must admit I neglected to consider how small the print would be on Anne & Emma. Lesson learned…I hope. 🔎
#LitsyLove headed to @TheLudicReader & @jdiehr
I enjoy reaching out to new friends.
@Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @Read4life @TieDyeDude
1) one of the librarians overseeing the teen room at the tagged library has always been kind & welcoming to my hard to get to know son … warms this mama‘s heart 💗 2) bookstore or Amazon 3) The British Booksellers by Kristy Cambron Thanks for the tag @Eggs Wanna play @TheLudicReader @Mrs_B @Mjm1 @thebackyardgnome
My 17 year old son purchased this pour over for me from Etsy. It matches perfectly to the mug that my daughter bought me several years ago. @TheBookHippie I‘m going to need guidance! ☕️
a few more #LitsyLove mail 💌 headed to the mailbox for @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @Eggs & @Crazeedi Seems my design style is predictable…
I may need to make this book an annual read. I almost feel as if I need a therapist to help me practice what I‘m learning. I‘m definitely more aware and that‘s a good place to start. 🪷
Thanks to bookwormbecky1969 on Instagram, I was able to choose 4 books using the gift card I won from her. I recently purchased book 3 in The Bleeker Street Inquiry Agency series so I needed 1 & 2. Anne of Green Gables & Emma are for upcoming book club reads with #whatthedickensbookclub 📚
Writing requires me to slow down & is soothing. #LitsyLove headed to @TheBookHippie @Sleepswithbooks @lil1inblue & @Kappadeemom I was even able to mark a couple of spots on my #LitsyLoveBingo card for May. Many thanks for keeping our correspondence organized & fun ~ @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @Read4life & @TieDyeDude
This charming story explored fashion, food, and true friendship. Paris in the 1950‘s is the idyllic place for three friends to launch their new lives after attending a cookery school that was intended to prepare them for marriage.
Claire, Gina, & Margot are soon living contrasting lives around the world while trying to keep in touch. They get back together by choice and chance.
I loved reading the fascinating names for groups of animals like a fever of sting rays. This is a great introduction about animals that don't belong to a group by nature. The artwork is bright and fun.
#LitsyLove 💌 for #LitsyLoveBingo to @JamieArc I‘d love to advocate for different postcard stamps in Michigan, though. I‘m already bored with the sailboat ⛵️ ones.
#WondrousWednesday Thanks @Eggs for the invite

Chapter 1 Page 5 ~ exactly the reason I want to read this book.
#SundayFunday My daughter & I had this same conversation via text yesterday. She bought a copy of the tagged book for 25 cents. I have 4 copies of this book. While living in Japan in 1990, my husband was sent to the Gulf War. The neighborhood women, where I taught English to 5 Japanese pre-schoolers, made these 1000 paper cranes while praying for my husband. It is my most prized possession & my daughter knows it will be passed on to her. 🗾
A couple of #LitsyLove replies are headed out tomorrow. 💌
#5JoysFriday dinner with Chaplain Sallie ~ 2 NetGalley ARCs~ wildfloers in my yard~ new rug on the loom~4 new tires (this made possible by some foreign object in the road at 5:30am on Sunday on my way to work and 2 1/2 hours waiting for a tow)
