pickA really good October read! Fits well with the spooky season. Enjoyed the consistent humor throughout, it kinda helped offset the terrifying parts. Just kind of sucked me in. I really didn't know where this was taking me. There's a lot of interesting things happening throughout to one of the "nice" guys. It's not usually the nice ones that get targeted.

pickI‘m a long time Koontz fan. I find his stories creepy, although unrealistic obviously, and a bit predictable. But they are like comfort reading for me. You get what you expect dressed differently for the occasion. But this one. This felt like Koontz stretching out, as if his retirement was nigh and he wanted to have a bit of fun for his last hurrah. I appreciate how he injected his own voice in parts and collaborated with us to tell a cute story.
pickBenny Catspaw is nice. He‘s so nice, in fact, that a shadowy organization has targeted him as a threat to their plans for world domination. Then a mysterious sarcophagus is delivered and he is introduced to Spike, his Craggle, an alien creature dedicated to protecting their assigned charges who are too good for this world. Spike, Benny and Harper Harper set out to defeat the bad guys. Weird, yes, but more surprising is the charming humor.
