#CoverStories

Personally, I find hammocks to be too tippy & I‘m too clumsy to fully relax in them-especially drink in hand, but the #Hammock on the cover of this cookbook (from my collection) looks pretty comfortable. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Aims42 Lol, you aren‘t wrong about them being tipsy especially with a drink 😆 13m

Today is the start of the Tove Jansson reading group in the Author Spotlight Series, organized by Sarah @HardcoverHearts starting with The Summer Book.

I have never read anything by Tove Jansson, so I‘m very curious!

This was a reread for me. I originally read it 11 years ago but just recently saw that an adapted series will be coming out sometime this year, so I wanted to refresh my memory. What I found so enthralling this time was the reader‘s (Ariadne Meyers) voice and delivery at the end. Almost brought me to tears and nearly pulled my heart out of my chest. If you‘ve not read it on audio, I‘d definitely recommend!

I loved the days when we all rooted for the underdog. Korman is a fantastic writer of friendship tales and this is no different.

I love this place and these characters. Thankfully, I still have a few other Hilderbrand books to read. I also read this on the beach in St. John & loved that small parts of this book were set there.
This is my February #DoubleSpin book.

I don't read a lot of YA, but I got pretty caught up in this and did not see the big twist coming and yeah, I really liked it. The author mentions in her notes that she worried readers would find the writing style pretentious, and I can see how it might come off that way, but after the first few (super short) chapters I was into it. It fit the story and the character.

Last night I had the privilege to attend the Natl Figure Skating Pairs and had the best time with friends. Today, just couldn‘t settle in with any current reads and so I searched for “month” on Libby and I selected this. #MiddleGrade #ReadICT

3✨ I wasn‘t completely engaged to this story, but enjoyed the relationship between grandmother and granddaughter. Read for #FoodandLit 2024 Finland
