Mehso-so

I read this because of #ISpyBingoSept bathing suit promp. @TheAromaofBooks
Geared to young teens, but all this kid does is give rants. The topic was good, too long of nothing happening, and then a cliffhanger. I'm not reading book 2.

TheAromaofBooks Great progress!! 9h

Perfect Summer | Francine Pascal, Kate William

Pickpick

The first #SweetValleyHighSuperEdition makes for a fun summer adventure with a group biking the CA coast! Mr. Collins & Ms. Dalton chaperone, but have recently broken up— with, to Lila‘s horror, Nora back with her father. An LA stop adds wannabe delinquent Courtney to the group— a girl with a plan that hinges on breaking up Todd & Liz to get home to her mohawked love. Funny with pranks & plenty of adventure, even the principal‘s nephew is a hero!

LMJenkins Why do the “high schoolers” on the cover look like they‘re 30? 😂 2d
TorieStorieS @LMJenkins I know! I‘m not sure if it‘s just because the models were that much older or if the styles really made that much of a difference— but I feel like some of these “high schoolers” look like they should be the tenured teachers!! 🤣 2d

Every Summer After | Carley Fortune

Pickpick

Carley Fortune‘s storytelling talent shines through in this book. I genuinely adored the characters and the nostalgic lakeside setting. The emotional, character-driven narrative captivated me, leaving me with a heartfelt story that delves into themes of love, regret, and second chances. Narrator A.J. Bridel did an excellent job bringing the characters and their story to life.
