pickI enjoyed this. I got it at random from the library and didn't realize it was 3rd in a series but it worked well for me as a stand alone. I liked both Annie and Nick and the way they balanced their relationship with him also being her boss at work. The multiple cases interested me and I felt like I got a good sense of their small town and it's inhabitants. I kinda wished I'd listened to this one as I'd have loved the Cajun accents.

What a great read. It's been a while since I read a Tami Hoag book. I heard good things about Bad Liar, and so I borrowed it from LibbyApp.
There's a missing person case, a dead body found, a woman abused, a mom who puts her son above everyone else, a mom trying to save her son and on top of that great characters and great writing. I was hooked when I read the synopsis of the book. ⬇️
