It has great commentary about the dangers of social media and being an influencer especially where children are concerned. But…it took so long to go anywhere, and once it did, I wasn‘t satisfied with where it went ultimately.
All the narrators gave good performances although most of the story is just a couple of them.
It's hard to believe this is Muenter's debut novel, tbh. The characters, the storyline, and the topic were all very well thought out and executed. Muenter successfully throws shade on the world of influencers, their motivations, and the motivations of those around them.
I look forward to seeing what she comes up with next.

This is a smart, slow-burn suspense novel with juicy twists, toxic family dynamics, and a thoughtful critique of social media and influencer culture. I thought it was brilliant how formats like podcast episodes and Reddit threads were incorporated - it made it feel so current and brought the mystery to life. 🎧
A mesmerizing cover a debut thriller by Olivia Muenster cohost of Bad on Paper a podcast. My weekend reading a true page turner.
