Mysterion: The Revelatory Power of the Sacramental Worldview
Mysterion: The Revelatory Power of the Sacramental Worldview | Harrison Ayre
1 post | 1 read
Mysterion unveils the underlying vision at the heart of Christianity and invites us to enter into a deeper understanding of the mystery and saving work of Christ. In this book, Fr. Harrison Ayre reveals a forgotten way of seeing and living the Christian life that can help us understand what it means for us to be "in Christ," to participate in Christ's life in and through the Church, and to allow his life and grace to work in us.

Bailedbailed

I found this to be a very simplistic elaboration on the Catholic sacramental world view. The book is understandably geared toward lay people, but it doesn't include any context around distinctions between the Seven Sacraments and “creation as sacrament.” I bailed on this book to give myself(a confirmed Catholic) an education of the topics the author takes pot shots at; modernist philosophy and Church reformers. Not sure that was his intention.
