#12Booksof2024 I think I read this in JUNE. It‘s one of my favorites of the year, a memorable story. Violent at times , set in Cumbria about shepherds and sheep… I loved it. It really got to me. I hope someone reads it soon so we can compare notes.

It‘s hard to say why I loved this so much …authentic …
the writers bond with the land. He takes you there , in all its beauty and terror and violence.
I never thought I could get so engrossed in a book about shepherds and sheep.

Stunning writing. Brilliant.
