^^p57 translation as metaphor for life: perpetual failure, misunderstanding, hope.

Pickpick

African refugees (“i ragazzi”) arrive by boat in rural Sicily. Multiple viewpoints—social workers, church volunteers, angry residents, artists, politicians, refugees. Huge cast presented in numerous narrative forms (diary, newspaper, odd mini playscript). Overly dramatic at times, but compelling story of finding a new home, bridging cultural divides, violence, moral choices. So many typos! C‘mon, copy editor. 2022
