pickI must admit that I was a bit bored during the first quarter of this book. (Where were the standard romance tropes? Where was the angst?) But after that I was all in. Emmett and Luke were really sweet and I absolutely loved the subplot "mystery" involving Luke's grandma. This felt like an authentic teen relationship. Loved it.

Luke doesn‘t like country music bc of a supposed falling out between his grandma Verna and Wanda herself, he isn‘t out yet and just wants to work to help his family get by. They both end up working at this fictional version of Dollywood and discover a lost secret about what happened between Verna and Wanda. mostly this was cute
