The first book in this collection is FANTASTIC, great writing great characters & a super interesting world, but the 2nd book was so confusing & I think should have been read first? The authors note did not help regarding what order to read the collection.
A human assassin and his crew must figure out how to take out a huge target in a very short amount of time with lots of complex world building.
Didn‘t finish the collection.
4/5 for 1st book

Recommended as something similar to the Amber series by Roger Zelazny. Writing is fast passed and quick witted. Follows the adventures of wise cracking assassin, Vlad Taltos and his dragon like companion.

I don't reread many books these days but I have read Steven Brust's sci-fi/fantasy books many times in my youth. #mostreread #feistyfeb

Welp, I was starting a new book, and then my friend gifted me this treasure (a series we have often discussed, with me constantly lamenting having only read the first book). Now my addiction can unfold.
