Bullion and Old Brass: Cader Idris Adventure | 
pickAny 10 - 13 year old with an active imagination will really enjoy this novel. I did and I'm well over that age. The main characters are a boy of 13 and and 11 year old girl along with their uncle, a retired police inspector and a sheep dog. It has action, suspense, adventure and an investigation in the countryside which the children help to solve. The book was to be a 1st in a series. I've no idea what prevented the author from writing more.
