Moriarty's husband was one of The Stolen Generation. This memoir mostly focuses on their 3 children and their Aboriginal design business, however Moriarty is the first white woman permitted to attend her husband's family's matriarchal elders' law ceremony. Theoretically I knew the great loss of Australia's Indigenous knowledge, this book gives the reader an emotional sense of the vastness of that tragedy. #memorablememoirs #booktober
