Complete Best of Bridge Cookbooks, Volume Three: All 350 Recipes from That's Trump and Aces | The Editors of Best of Bridge
1 post | 1 read
All the fabulous recipes from That's Trump and Aces in one handy volume. Now available for the first time in one collectible and comprehensive volume, all the recipes from the fifth and sixth books originally published by Best of Bridge. These two books, That's Trump: More Recipes from The Best of Bridge and Aces: More Recipes From the Best of Bridge, are still as popular as ever and part of Canadian cookbook history. These treasured recipes were enjoyed by thousands of Canadians a generation ago and can now be enjoyed by a whole new generation who want simple recipes with gourmet results. Like its predecessors, The Complete Best of Bridge Volumes 1 & 2, it features an easy-to-use lay-flat hardcover with a concealed wire-o format. The addition of new photographs and updated text all give a nod to the needs of today's cook. But rest assured, no changes have been made to the outstanding, original recipes. And the ever-popular jokes and one-liners remain. All the treasured, tried-and-true recipes for lunches, brunches, buffets and goodies are here: Swiss Bacon Pleasers, Curried Rice Salad, Oriental Chicken Pizza, Stuffed Pork Tenderloin, Barber's Best Chili, Best of Bridge Bean Soup, Corned Beef and Veggies, Wild West Salmon, Snickerdoodles, Blueberry Buckle, Plum Rum Cake, Nanny's Real Scottish Shortbread, Chocolate Pecan Bars. So whether you are looking to complete your Bridge cookbook collection or simply want to include tried-and-true recipes in your cooking repertoire, you'll find all this and more in this new, sure-to-be-popular collection.

Sometimes the Little Free Library coughs up some incredible gems: like this terribly ugly book cover that arrived a couple of weeks ago. The inside is even better, with its hand lettering, rules and regulations (no talk of children, dogs or latest operation, no snarling), "delicious" treats (tomato aspic anyone?) and use of green olives as garnish. Perfect for your next dinner gathering. #septbookchallenge #somethingforsept
