The Hitchhiker | 
pickThe book I read is not in the database but it is by the same author. It‘s a Dutch novella, one you received for free when buying books during our yearly national Dutch books promotion week.
I collect them and they are mostly decent. This one is good too, about a brother and a sister, taking their kid brother, who seems depressed and is obsessed by astronomy, to visit a place in Germany, once hit by a meteorite.
