Still digging through my dad's old books and discovered this 1960 book of the month club edition of the last Nevil Shute novel. I was excited, because I've had this on my need to read list for a couple of years. I love A Town Like Alice. I don't remember ever seeing this one in our little home library. It must have been hidden by the piles of National Geographic magazines that my dad insisted on keeping!
pickI read this again after about 40 years and really enjoyed the story of a quiet man taken completely out of his usual life. Well worth a read.
