This is one reason I struggle with contemporary music and contemporary worship. I feel like lot of the focus is put on the band and the music and not enough on God and making us feel uncomfortable in our own sins.
I am not saying there isn't a time and place for this, but for me it's not every Sunday.

I 💖 these profiles in my Bible. I can't imagine being Matthew and giving up everything to follow Jesus. Knowing that I could not go back to my old life. That is great faith.
Sermon on the mount … more notes than scripture on these pages - there is just so much to deep dive in these 4 chapters. And yes, I read through 3-4 Bible versions with each daily Bible reading: TPT, MSG, NET, & NLT .. I also will look up some in CEV online as well which is quickly becoming another favorite version. #biblebuddyread
