On my want list.
This book was impossible to put down. Donna Morrissey is such a skillful writer that she consistently evokes small Newfoundland coastal communities in a way that makes me feel I grew up in one of them (I so totally didn't). This latest tale of the Now family didn't fail to disappoint. A truly incredible storyteller.
Because I'm so scattered in my reading lately in that quest to find solid reads, I've changed my mind and decided to read The Fortunate Brother 🇨🇦, instead of The Comet Seekers. 😬
I enjoyed the story very much but not as much as the first two books I've read by this author. The story was quick paced me held my interest with its twists. There was a lot going on in the plot and I feel more attention good have been to character and story development of some of this was lessened.
