This fictional account of painter Richard Dadd's descent into madness was interesting and the characters were well-developed and unique. Some parts felt like Krueger was trying to fit together two separate stories, and I wish there'd been more detail about Dadd's life after being locked up in Bedlam; but overall, this was a well-written, informative piece of historical fiction.
