I loved this book, with flavor of “Our Town”. This is the story of Elmwood Springs, Missouri, from its foundation as a dream of its founder to its near death in present times. The characters are loveable, even in the hereafter. I couldn‘t stay away from the book.

Going to read the physical copy now that I‘ve listened to it.

Another amazing Klune read! I absolutely bawled the last few chapters of this novel, but based on the synopsis, you can assume this novel touches on tough subjects. Despite that, even while crying, Klune made me laugh. I loved the characters and, listening to this on audio, the narrator instilled so much character into his voices. A tough but fun read.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I‘ve lately been attempting to listen to my backlog tbr on Spotify… and it‘s been slightly unsuccessful. Six DNF‘s in a row and an ever increasing purge pile, I‘m going to a favorite audiobook author. I love Klune‘s stories but I also love listening to them. The narrators are always 👍👍 for voices. They lend so much character. I‘ve already 😢 and 🤣 with this book.

Thoroughly enjoying it.

A friend recommended this after we had some deaths in my family. I enjoyed the perspective of the afterlife from a near-death experience of a neurosurgeon including his own doubts and scientific frame of reference.

I love Fannie Flagg books… they are like a hug in book form and this was no exception! It was so fun to follow a town and its residents from the founding to present day… if you need a light and easy read, this is the book for you!

I didn't love this one, and the ending was a little vague for my tastes. But I did enjoy the Indigenous spirituality aspect of it. The story follows five generations of Metis women as they struggle with their heritage and generational trauma. There were so many POVs but the audiobook did make it easy to follow with a full cast of narrators. The writing itself was beautifully done
