This was August's #BNReadout and I really liked it.
I already have another book by Gilly Macmillan on my nook. I liked the writing, the story and the characters. I cared about many and disliked others. But disliked in the way that draws you into the story.
Zoe is a talented young pianist who has to live with a horrible past. She and her mom are keeping secrets from their new family. Turns out they aren't the only ones.
sprainedbrain Yay for a good selection on Readouts! 👍🏻 7y
Jerdencon Been reading this one too... thought it was one of the better stories they've had. 7y
Magpiegem Thank you thank you thank you! I've been trying to remember the name of this books for months after hearing about it on a podcast and then not being able to find it again! What a relief not to be trying to draw it out of my brain anymore- phew! 😄 Looking forward to hearing what you think of it. 7y

Read4life @Magpiegem I definitely recommend it. I enjoyed it and if it wasn't the BN Readout where you only get a few chapters a day to read I probably would have read it in just a few days. 💙📚 7y
Magpiegem @read4life I'm going to sound stupid but what is the BN Readout? 7y
Read4life @Magpiegem Not stupid at all. If you have a nook or the nook app you have access to it. Each month B&N picks a title for its Readout. It's a free read where chapters or sections are made available each day until you've read the entire book around the 25th. You can start anytime but you can only read up to the current download. No reading ahead. It stays up until the last day of the month so you have days to finish. 7y
Magpiegem Ah I see! Thank you for explaining... I'm off to download an app! 😄 7y
