pickI‘m a bit behind on the #HitchBookToScreen but I‘m glad to have listened to this one! I enjoyed the eerie atmosphere building & found this book written in 1938 to still feel current and rather timeless in a way. The audio performance is excellent, too! As the second Mrs. de Winter navigates her change in station from orphaned lady‘s companion to lady of the manor, the shadow of the titular Rebecca is felt everywhere. A discussion starter for sure!

JenlovesJT47 I did watch it when it came out on Netflix. I like Lily James, and Armie Hammer is easy on the eyes (even though his name is mud in Hollywood now!). It was ok. A huge letdown if you compare it to the original as there is no comparison. The 1940 movie is so great with excellent acting from everyone involved. I have a huge crush on Mr. Olivier 😍 11h
