A collection of four “essays” titled The Detective, The Victim, The Defender, and The Killer are presented in precise prose that quickly moves to the heart of each character. The women discussed all represent different figures in four separate crimes that span decades. It wasn‘t what I was expecting but I enjoyed it. 👍🏻 #ITL that in 1910 Alice Wells was the 1st female police officer in the USA.
