Pickpick

This fast-paced political thriller is the 28th book in the Jack Reacher series. Reacher investigates a series of murders linked to a secret military project that took place in 1969. ⬇️

suvata The scientists who participated in this activity are being killed off one-by-one. Reacher and his team must uncover the truth while dealing with the hidden agendas of his fellow agents and the ruthless killers who are hunting them down.

4.5 Stars -- Clearly the winner of my “Bad Ass Men” Competition.

Short story collaboration between Lee Child and Joseph Finder.

Jack Reacher versus Nick Heller.

I didn't mind this short story, for 27 pages it fitted a lot in. Was entertaining enough.

Three stars.

Definitely one of the better Jack Reacher short stories in my opinion. Whereas a lot of them so far have felt pointless to the overall larger plot, this one fits in well to the back story.

It's always nice to see Reacher in uniform and see snippets of his military days and this book delivered that.

Three stars.

Book 15.5 in the Jack Reacher series and I really don't understand the value of these slotted in short stories.

I love Jack, he's a solid five star read in the full length novels but these short stories have no point and neither do they add to the back story.

In this one we meet Jack as a fifteen year old. Jack didn't read fifteen to me, at times he felt super childish, and others an adult.

Did Lee Child actually write these?

James Penney's New Identity:
To call this a Jack Reacher short story is a stretch as he features only in the last few pages and he didn't feel like Jack to me, he was a little off, didn't seem to hold the same morals although I appreciate he's younger in this book. 3 stars.

Guy Walks into a Bar:
This one is so short it's impossible to really have an opinion, it was a 7 minute read in total. It's always nice to hang out with Jack.

Not my favorite in the series…but still a solid beach read. Reacher heads overseas to try and catch a sniper.

Just a fan of Jack Reacher; working my way through the series. In this story, Jack returns to the military to repay a favor by hunting down a man Reacher put in prison 15 years ago. Kott is suspected of taking shots at the President of France. Reacher travels to Paris and London with a female government analyst to get to the bottom of this international problem. As usual, there is so much more to the story than I initially thought. #MountTBR

⌯ Whew! Surprisingly good. I decided to read the Jack Reacher series in chronological order. It never disappoints me at all.⁣

⌯ I want to know more about Jack Reacher. This is a short story, but a very awesome starter for the whole series. For a 13-year-old Jack, he's very clever! I'm excited! Yay! A new favorite. 😊⁣

This installment of the Jack Reacher series didn‘t quite do it for me. I liked it okay, simply because I love Reacher. The plot was lacking suspense and moments of intense energy. #MountTBR
