This took me a while to get into. Now that I‘m about a quarter of the way in I‘m getting hooked.

This my Book Club Feb pick. Reading this has made one thing clear. I miss laughing. Laughter is the best medicine. Each story in this is short, making it easy to pick up at any time and quickly read a story. I think I'm going to set the other Sedaris books I have around the house so a laugh is easily accessible.
I have decided I need to read a book each month that will make me laugh out loud. Let me know your favorites. #LiteraryLadiesBookClub
This is my book clubs February pick. I know absolutely nothing about Phosphorus - and this made me realize you only know what you know. I am grateful the author was able to convey scientific info in a way I could understand. I am also grateful this is a book club pick - cause I need to discuss this!

I‘m halfway through this nonfiction book. It is hard to read the pure hatred these men had/have.
Ibram X. Kendi reviewed
“When we wonder about the how and why of the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, White Hot Hate begins to provide an explanation. It is riveting and revelatory.”

This was my book clubs pick for July. I think this is beautifully written. I had no idea what this was about when I picked it up - I thought it was going to be about birds. I will definitely read more books by her (I‘ll just make sure I have a box of tissues nearby)

This is dystopian fiction but very plausible 👀

This was my bookclubs February pick. I read this last year before the PBS series aired. I decided to re-read it for bookclub mainly so I didn‘t mix up the book and the show😬 I love a good murder mystery.

This is my bookclubs March pick.
This book had me completely hooked. Even though I know absolutely nothing about horses or horse racing and I could not read this fast enough to find out what was going to happen!
