The Hazel Wood is a dark inverted twisted kind of fairytale story that opens up your imagination and takes you to the dark world of not-so-happily-ever-afters. Welcome to the world of doomed princesses, violent hands and where bad luck isn't necessarily as abstract as we think.
olivia.ferz I loved the story-telling style and the characters Alice and Finch. I did have a few questions unanswered but hopefully the second part 'The Night Country' will answer them. The book gives off a very moody, mysterious feel from the start implying not everything is as it seems. 5y
